Crafted Rusks operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the “Services”). Crafted Rusks is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

These Terms of Service, together with our other policies (the “Terms”), describe your rights and responsibilities when you use the Services. Please read them carefully, as they include important information about your legal rights and cover areas such as warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability.

By visiting, interacting with or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use or access our Services.

1. ACCESS AND ACCOUNT

By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm you are at least the age of majority in South Africa (18 years), or you have consent from a parent or guardian. To use the Services, you may need to provide certain information (such as billing, shipping, and payment details). You agree all information you provide is accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and passwords. Crafted Rusks is not liable for losses caused by your failure to secure this information.

2. OUR PRODUCTS

We take care to describe and photograph our rusks as accurately as possible, but due to the handmade nature of our products and differences in screen displays, colours and appearance may vary.

All product descriptions are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time and to limit quantities.

3. ORDERS

By placing an order, you make an offer to purchase. Crafted Rusks may accept or decline your order at its discretion. Orders are only confirmed once payment has been processed.

Please check your order carefully before submitting. Cancellations may not be possible once your order has been confirmed.

Orders are subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy, which outlines the limited circumstances under which food items can be returned.

4. PRICES AND BILLING

Prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and may change without notice. The price charged will be the price in effect at the time of order. Unless otherwise noted, prices exclude delivery charges and any applicable taxes.

You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date payment information so that we can process your orders.

5. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

We always package our rusks with care, but please note:

  • Rusks are fragile, and minor breakage or crumbs may occur during transit. This is considered normal and does not qualify for a return or refund.

  • We are not liable for delivery delays once orders are handed to the courier. Risk and ownership of the goods pass to you when collected by the courier.

6. RETURNS & REFUNDS

Because rusks are a perishable food product, we cannot accept returns or exchanges except in cases where:

  • You received the wrong product, or

  • The product was defective or unsafe on arrival.

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Minor breakage during transit

  • Opened packages

  • Taste preferences

  • Sale items or gift cards

If your order arrives significantly damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours at info@craftedrusks.co.za with photos so we can assist. Refunds (where applicable) will be processed back to your original payment method.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on our website (including text, images, graphics, logos, and product names) is the property of Crafted Rusks or its licensors. You may not use, copy, or reproduce this content without our permission.

8. THIRD-PARTY LINKS & TOOLS

Our website may include links to third-party websites or tools. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices, and you use them at your own risk.

9. RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

Crafted Rusks is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide these Services. However, all sales are made directly with Crafted Rusks. Shopify is not responsible for our products, refunds, or customer service.

10. PRIVACY POLICY

Your personal information is collected and processed in line with our Privacy Policy [LINK] and in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

11. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA).
